A fantastic career opportunity has become available at Crosscrown Ltd for a committed Registered Manager for Lilbourne Court Nursing Home, preferably with a Nursing background and a qualification in management e.g. NVQ level 5 in management, to join our team.

This 36 bedded Nursing Home has recently been built and has been designed to accommodate palliative care residents as well as those with nursing requirements. The home caters for both adults over 65 yrs and under 65 yrs, Dementia, Mental health conditions, Physical disabilities, Sensory impairments.

We are looking for a registered manager to lead the clinical and non-clinical team, creating an environment that promotes dignity and independence, striving for excellence through the highest standards of care. The right candidate will be pragmatic in their approach and be able to balance running a caring and empathetic service alongside achieving business results, in line with the company’s policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes and skills:

· Willing to undertake CQC registration to act as the Register manager

· Minimum 2 years in a management capacity in a Nursing Home setting: either as an Clinical lead/Acting manager or as a Registered manager.

· Preferably Registered Nurse qualified with an active NMC Pin

· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care (or the equivalent)

· Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage and develop teams

· Exceptional communication skills and a passion for proving quality care

· A demonstrable track record of CQC compliance

· CQC legislation knowledge

· Ensuring a safe service is delivered to our service users at all times

· Willing to engage in training and development of their leadership and management style.

· Develop links with local authorities and other outside organisations

· Deliver person centred care and oversee all safeguarding issues

· Strong planning and organisational skills

· Good communication skills

· Ability to lead, motivate and manage a team

As Home Manager, you will coordinate and oversee the day to day running of the home, ensuring a cost-effective and efficient service that doesn’t compromise on quality of care or life.

Your daily tasks will include:

· Develop an improvement plan for the home and aim to archive an overall good in follow up inspections

· Care Planning and reviews

· Safe recruitment of staff

· Training and development of staff

· Effective management of occupancy

· Maintain premises and grounds to a high standard

· Maintenance Management and liaison with the maintenance team.

· Maintain compliance and audit systems

· Ensuring the well-being of the residents

· ROTA Management

· Ensuring a good working relationship with staff and management.

· Safe Management of risk

· Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are met

· Ensure that the robust infection control policy with procedures followed by staff

· Organise and participate in meetings

· Liaise with health care professionals, relatives, operations management, and payroll.
