Hello and welcome to Woodville House

Our Home

Woodville House is a large, spacious detached house located in the centre of the historic market town of Rugby with excellent local amenities including shops, restaurants, buses and parks within a short walking distance of the Home.

Woodville House was an established hotel until recently. After some minor refurbishment it was converted to its present role as a Residential Home Care Home for the elderly. We provide full residential accommodation with 24 hour personal care in a loving, family-like environment to clients who, by reason of advancing years, find it difficult to continue living by independent means. We are registered to care for E.M.I. clients and happily accept permanent, respite and short stay admissions.

Our superior living accommodation is cared for with dedication, our high quality food, made from fresh ingredients is cooked with passion, our daily leisure activities are played with fun and laughter and above all else, our care is provided with thoughtfulness and courtesy.

We never forget that our residents live in their home all day and every day whilst we, the staff, only visit. We therefore do everything in our power to ensure that our residents feel loved, relaxed and most importantly to regard Woodville House as their very own home.

Features of the Home

We have accommodation for 16 residents and each room has en-suite facilities and all have 24 hour nurse call bell facilities. All furniture and furnishings are provided but our residents are encouraged to have their rooms furnished in their own personal style and taste and are welcome to have any personal knick-knacks or possessions that they may wish to have. Three comfortable lounges and an exceptionally spacious dining room add to the comfort of the Home. A pleasant patio area lies to the rear of the building in well established landscaped grounds.

Should residents wish to pursue hobbies or activities familiar to them, every endeavour is made to ensure that the equipment, materials and space are available to enjoy these pursuits.

Any specialist equipment assessed as necessary to promote health and safety is made available and used by staff to ensure our resident’s needs are met in an appropriate and safe manner.

Our Staff

We have a qualified and experienced care team who are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We continually invest in training our staff which enables our care staff to gain QCF (Qualification and Credit Framework) qualifications in care. This helps us to continue to improve the care provided to all residents.

Our Services

We offer:

A senior staff member always completes a pre-admission assessment to determine whether or not we can meet each person’s needs. This information is then used to create a personalised care plan for the prospective resident and after admission; the care plan is expanded to provide comprehensive information about the health, well-being and care of the resident. Regular reviews of the care plan are undertaken with the involvement of each resident and if more appropriate with their families.

Additionally, we convene regular Resident’s Meetings where we consult with residents about their daily life in the Home and note their preferences or dislikes.

Our Cooks prepare genuine home cooked meals made from fresh ingredients each and every day and will gladly cater for special dietary requirements due to medical, religious, ethnic or personal preferences. Our Residents also enjoy freshly baked cakes and biscuits and a glass of wine if they so wish!

Our staff realise the importance of stimulation and have daily schedules of activities to aid motivation and help prevent monotony. In addition, independent companies visit to provide regular sessions of games, music and physical activities.

Maintaining Our High Standards

Woodville House is registered by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the body empowered by the Government to regulate care homes. They inspect the Home regularly to ensure that high standards of care are maintained and the reports they publish can be viewed on their website.

In addition, contract and monitoring officers from Warwickshire County Council carry out quality checks on the service so that they can be confident that the Home’s good standards are being maintained.
